Bielefeld - für manche schon bekannt.
The day started with a meeting at Werther Gymnasium and from there we walked just to ZOB which means bus station. There came city transport bus 21 to Bielefeld Jahnplatz, so ein Treffpunkt an der Uhr. First we went to the Rathaus - town hall which is an old building like a church and was in the process of renovation , already two years ago. We had a good time for taking every kind of pictures and we felt already quite cold as the guide arrived at 9.30. The tour went through the old town into one of the protestant churches with wonderful altar picture and just around until the Kunstmuseum and back. We got some pictures. When I get them - then longer talk.
Kahe torniga kirik - one for money, the other for spirit. Üks torn on körgem.
After that really interesting hour in the historical museum with an interesting English guide and the machines working. On the floor was a map to move on the Luftbild von Bielefeld. The museum showed the history of the area from 1200 to the time after the world war. The importance of industry and its development was the main theme of the museum. We saw the old weaving machines but also the bicycles and motorcycles.
